On home-improvement projects, please remember this rule - one thing LEADS TO ANOTHER! We simply wanted to replace a faulty, old refrigerator. Bill was going to re plumb the kitchen wall for water for the new refrigerator, which hopefully will have an ice maker. Seriously, can anyone get by in Texas without an ice-maker? Once we pulled out the old fridge, we started looking at the shabby, torn existing vinyl and one thing led to another. Remember the home-improvement golden rule? We ripped up the floor, with the intention of replacing the old vinyl with new vinyl. However, we have searched high and low for a decent vinyl replacement, one that does not fake the look of real ceramic tile. Can't find a pattern we like, so we have decided to tile this floor ourselves. Now we have to quickly get a new fridge in place for the house occupants, and pick a tile and grout color and get to work.
